hfsakjfaiHOMEWORK

It's been so long since I last updated anything and I'm behind on my stories and I apologize, people. I'm back at school now and it is kicking my ass so bad I won't be able to sit down for a week. Like, I'm standing here as I type this to you.

Who'd think the first two weeks would be Weeks From Hell? But once the assignments are completed and turned in, I might be able to breath. Which means updates. Whoo!

Again, sorry for the lack of updates on my fics.

Peace.

Jan. 3rd, 2010

I'm home from visiting my brother. It was fun, and went by too fast.

I'm going to be kept on my toes this week. Work is gonna be craaazy. The opening shift called off sick so I got stuck covering. I had to go in today at 7 (not too bad), but tomorrow and tuesday are going to be 6:00 days. Waking up at 4:30 will not be cool. Some nights I go to BED at 4:30. Yikes.

Many many apologies to those waiting on my Black Cat fic. I am so incredibly slow. The ending for my second chapter just isn't working. I'm trying.

Comatose is coming along well. I have my third chapter planned out, and have my idea for the fourth. My beta is so wonderful.

The boyfriend is coming home from CA tomorrow! But he won't be around for long. He's shipping out to Iraq mid-January.

And for an ending note, how the hell do the Steelers win the Super Bowl and then suck so bad the following season? It kills me.

New Furuba Fic!

"Comatose" is now posted with two chapters. I generally write more about Kyo, but I think I got Kyo-ed out at some point and shoved Yuki into the spotlight.

Yuki is having strange dreams, and after a fight gone bad with Kyo, his dreams are catching up to him. One minute of betrayal leads into over one hundred years of penance, and Yuki is thrown into a position where everything he ever learned is turned upside down.

I have a beta now! Pockets is awesome, and she is going to help me out with "Comatose", and hopefully "God's Menagerie", too!

My final grades are in, and I did pretty well. =)

Advanced Animation: B+
Metals I: A
Film, Art, and Theory: B+
Art of Pharaohs: C
Oceanography: A

Next semester I'll only be taking four classes, and they are:

Advanced Animation II
Wood Furniture
Medieval Art History
Early 20th Century Art History

My Christmas went well, I visited with family, and I'll be visiting my brother in Maryland for New Years. I know before I said I was visiting as soon as I got home, but the roads were terrible around D.C., so we rescheduled.

I fell sick for a few days with a fever and sore throat, but those days gave me plenty of time to sleep and to write that second chapter of "Comatose". I'm better now, and I started on the third chapter, but I can't promise an update as fast as the last one. I'll try, though!

Homeward Bound

I have my last final in 30 minutes, and after that I'll be packing for home. However, tomorrow morning I'll have to travel again because I'm visiting my brother in Maryland for the holidays. But I'll be home for good after Christmas.

Most of my break will be spent relaxing and working my part time job, because I am broke. Literally. I can't even pay my internet bill! -cry- (Good thing it's not due til the 30th!)

I'll be writing, and hopefully I'll be as productive as I was last winter break. I churned out a one-shot and rewrote 72 Hours. Maybe this time I can write more of Books and Black Cats, get a few chapters of God's Menagerie done, and upload the first chapter of another furuba fic I started.

Also, my time will be spent on a 6x4 foot painting for my brother. He already bought me my paints, so I need to get working on it.

And of course, I'll catch up with some old high school buddies. Maybe I can con them into seeing Fantastic Mr. Fox! (BTW I saw Princess and the Frog and it was AMAZING! I went with my animation professor and a bunch of other animation students. Sooo much fun)

So yeah. Happy holidays to everyone, and I'll be posting again after Christmas when I'm home.

Cheers!

Finals Week

Today was insaaane. Or more like this week in general. It'll be the only time you catch me running on 30 minutes of sleep.

..Yeah. Not even a full hour o.o

But, I did get my metals project done, and a girl in my class actually offered to buy it off of me, but I declined since I made it for my mom for Christmas. At least I know it's decent looking if someone wanted to buy it, hah.

I had my final critique in animation today, and it went really well. I have room for improvements, but my professor saw how I got better at my timing throughout the semester and was really pleased.

Oceanography test was today. I didn't know a handful of the questions, but I felt confident for most of them.

Aaand I finally got to turn in my essay for Film, Art, and Theory. I was so tired of writing that thing.

All that's left is my Art of Pharaohs test on Friday. I'll post my new metals project on here again, and possibly a link to my animation, too.

I CAN SLEEP TONIGHT!!

Dec. 11th, 2009

Snow!

I wake up this morning to find out we've been hit by a freaking blizzard. White everywhere!

I'm not looking forward to walking to class, but at the same time I really want to beam someone with a snowball, haha :)

An idea of what I've been doing...

Here's a link to my metals project. I blame this for keeping me from writing since I pretty much lived in the studio when I was trying to get it done in time.

But now winter break is just around the corner. After tomorrow, it's finals week.

Dec. 6th, 2009

Whoops.

So uh..I lost my outline for God's Menagerie. I'm not sure how it happened, but my messy room probably has something to do with it. -sweat drops-

But luckily, I remember most of what was on it, and I decided that I'm going to work from the ending, backwards. Mostly due to the fact that I really do not like my fourth chapter and I'm tired of looking at it.

While the story will involve all of the zodiac, I won't be making each character an important role. I'm sorry if your favorite character isn't in the spotlight, but I really don't have any clue how to write Rin, for example. I'll try my best to do what I can.

Also, I can't make any promises as to who will be in the spotlight, because though I try to follow an outline, I usually write as ideas come to me, and certain events may need certain characters.

Either way, I'm roughing out the ending and I'll be moving backwards from there.

In a few days I'll have a link to my metals project that I slaved over before Thanksgiving. I'd put my animation project on youtube, but it's not finished yet.

Speaking of youtube, I thought of this crazy animation the other day involving Kyo and Yuki. It's take way too much time and effort to make, so I was thinking of drawing up some story boards for it and posting those with sound (if I can get my hands on a furuba sound track. Anyone know of sounds I can download?), and maybe some day down the road, animate it. It's kinda slashy, but I think of it more as just plain funny. You'll have to trust me on this one. Nothing bad is shown. And actually...it's something that COULD happen in the manga-verse without making anyone OOC. Just badly-timed transformations while Kyo is trying to kill Yuki in cat and rat form. =)

Of Alcohol, DDR, and the upcoming Finals Week

Oh man, I haven't played DDR in like, 3 years, and last night I busted out the old dance pad and got my roommate playing for her first time. Somehow, the songs were a lot easier after taking a few shots, and somehow I didn't break any furniture (or myself) in the process, haha.

I used to be pretty good, though. Currently, I'm in the middle zone between light and standard (more so light because I live on the top floor...I don't want the people below getting angry with me, heh), but eventually I'll build myself back up to heavy. There's just something about jumping around like an idiot that's so much fun ;)

I have one week of classes left, and then finals week. I am very excited to have this semester over and done with, but at the same time, I'm dreading finals. Too bad I can't just skip to winter break.

Studying for tests isn't hard, though. Actually, that's the easy part. It's just finishing my animation project, metals project, and writing an essay for my art history class that I'm concerned about. It's hard to motivate yourself when you just don't want to do any of it.

Fic-wise, I'm trying to jump between Black Cat and Furuba, but it's hard trying to write for two completely different series at the same time. I'm really itching to write a oneshot for Fruits Basket, but I don't have any ideas yet. I've been fixing God's Menagerie, but wow, does it need a lot of work. I'm thinking about finding a beta reader for that story...

So if anyone wants a crack at it, PM me or something, and I'll love you forever <3

I have a rough draft for my second chapter for Of Books and Black Cats...I just need to go in and revise, but I'm having a little trouble with it (I blame thinking about Kyo while trying to write Train's character - NOT good)

Did I mention I'm really slow when it comes to writing/updating? Heh...

Furuba Skit

I found this yesterday, and I just keep watching it! It's a skit from AnimeNEXT 2007, and it pretty much sums up the relationship between Kyo, Yuki, and Tohru (minus the curse). It's perfect and I love it.

And the fight scene...oooh -hits replay-

You, watch, now!

Posted!

The revised version of Of Books and Black Cats is now posted. The second chapter will follow soon (hopefully). You'll all learn I'm a procrastinator. =)

Nov. 24th, 2009

Change of Plans

Well, I don't know if anyone actually reads this, but if they do, I have to hold off on my fic. The boyfriend decided he wants to leave tonight instead of tomorrow, and since he's my ride home, I have to stick with him. So, I won't be able to finish Books and Black Cats until I get back. Sorry!

Until then, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Nov. 20th, 2009

Posting Date

I'm almost done with the second part to Books and Black Cats. I'm shooting to post it Tuesday night before break, because I'll be away this weekend and Monday and Tuesday afternoon will be packed with homework. And over break I won't have access to a computer.

So yeah, Tuesday. Or it could be (technically) Wednesday morning. However you wanna look at it =)

"Of Books and Black Cats" Update

I, uh, should be animating right now. But I'm not. And I'll probably regret it later.

But inspiration struck and I'm writing and revising "Of Books and Black Cats". Look for an update sooooooon!

...is this considered procrastination? >.>

You know it's cold in your apartment when your chocolate milk starts to freeze.

Edgar, you pinhead!

I decided to play Final Fantasy VI again. I'm not sure how many times I've played it, but I know most of the dialogue by heart.

And I still love every moment of it.

Midterms are in

I did as I expected, though I thought I'd have a C in one of my art histories. Turns out I'm a better bullshiter essay writer than I thought.

Film, Art, and Theory: B
Art of Pharaohs: B
Metals 1: B+
Advanced Animation: B
Oceanography: A

An old friend revived

Once upon a time, I wrote a fic called God's Menagerie way back in '06. I wrote about 6 chapters before pulling it off of ff.net to revise it. Ever since I mentioned it from time to time but haven't done much with it. And now I'm mentioning it again.

BUT THIS TIME IS DIFFERENT, I SWEAR!

Here's a small peek.

The general idea is still the same, but some events were moved around and/or changed. New 'messages' were added in and you'll notice that they have a different...feel...to them. There's more KxT, and I'm trying trying TRYING to give everyone the spotlight, but my tunnel vision just keeps focusing in on Kyo and Yuki, so please bear with me on that.

Chapters will have titles to them, instead of the boring Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc. There will be approximately 10 chapters, give or take a few. I know exactly how the story will end, but I will be willing to listen to suggestions along the way. I've been known to incorporate ideas reviewers had before, such as in my 72 Hours fic, and possibly my Of Books and Black Cats fic (I plan on revising that).

I will not post any chapters of God's Menagerie until the entire story is completed. Once it is completed, I will post a chapter every Friday unless otherwise noted (like for instance, a reviewer gives me a good idea I didn't think about and I want to take the time to write in the part).

For reasons unknown, inspiration struck, and I want this story completed, as fast as my little fingers can type. And so now I leave you to continue writing/editing.

Oct. 26th, 2009

You'll probably have something better to do, but...

What you'll find here:

Honestly, a lot of rambling, because rambling is what I do best. But since it is past two in the morning, I'll cut it short.

Rambling.

...

Okay, seriously this time. You'll find snippets of my writing and some of my artwork. I've tried my hand at fanfiction, but I have my own original work as well. I'm always working on some new project for my art classes, and on the side I'm doodling high-detail drawings from the Final Fantasy series. (But I don't think I can post those because I'm using cosplayers as reference and I really don't know if that taps into plagiarism and such, though I have NO intention of ever selling the drawings, as they are for my own personal study, practice, and enjoyment.)

I'll also probably ramble talk about books I'm reading, movies I've seen, games I played, how boring class was, how much homework sucks... Er, I mean, I won't complain at all. Honest. :)

...Why are you reading this again? (I'm such a snore. Really.)
